Jacob brings Alyssa’s favorite book to class to show that they both like the same things. The facts in Red Rose make up a map of her whole life. Jacob learns everything there is to know about her, and so do the other people in the game. It’s the day he asks her out on a date. Jacob doesn’t want to hurry, but the other people make him. He refuses to give in, but in the end, he does. When Jacob messes with the lines of code to get rid of some users, he sends the cameras in Alyssa’s house through the portal by accident. He tries, but he can’t get it to work again.
They finally meet in the school library the next day. He tells her that he likes her. She’s flattered, but she says she doesn’t feel the same way. He is sad and talks to the people on the platform. They laugh at him. He stops talking. At that time, The Gardener sends him a secret message. He tells Jacob that the ideas are great and just need a few more changes to take them to the next level. With the promise that he will get Alyssa in the end, Gardener is able to convince Jacob to make him an admin. He says that the portal will be back up and running in a few weeks.
Jacob notices that Alysa is changing how she acts. Once he logs into the portal, he sees Alyssa alone in the house and the Gardener messing around to scare her. Alyssa killed herself on the night of the first episode. Jacob tries to call her and warn her, but he can’t get through. He sees her jump off the building and dies. When Jacob says he is going to call the police, the Gardener calls him instead and threatens him. We even see the Gardener put a rose on Alyssa’s grave.
Wren’s Perilous Journey Through a Tunnel of Danger and Deceit
In a tunnel, Wren (Amelia Clarkson) meets three men who slowly beat her out. Jaya tells them that Simon was also caught by the portal. The gardener put pictures and videos of child abuse on Simon’s laptop and made him do his dirty work. I Heart BLTN, who we last saw in episodes 6 and 7, confronts Noah again. She asks him if RR’s view of the world has changed and then tells him where Wren is going. Noah brings the stupid people with him. Jaya follows Wren into the building.
The doors shut on their own. Jaya tells Dickheads not to use the doors because they are being watched by cameras and Gardener will find out they are there. Ashley says that you should use the tunnels instead. Wren is led to a room by Rick’s voice. He tells her that he will kill her the way Wren killed Roche. Wren gets distressed. After that, people on the portal start making fun of Wren.
We see in a video that starts to play that a man actually went to Roche’s house and drowned her. She did not commit suicide. A voice tells Wren to go to “the garden” as the door behind her opens. Jaya sees on the feed that someone is following the Dickheads, so she calls Taz and tells him to get out of there. They are being chased by the male nurse from the hospital. Jaya uses her wits to take a picture of him with his phone and threatens to “make him famous.” He stops following them, so for now they are safe.

Wren Confronts The Gardener and Rick Gets Stabbed
Wren walks into the garden and sees a bald man, who is probably the Gardener. The people on the portal are cheering him on through a live feed. Gardener has a knife in his hand. Rick tries to convince Wren to leave. Antony reaches the ceiling from the outside and asks Jaya to delete RR, even if it means there will be no evidence for the police.
Rick gets stabbed in the leg by Gardener, and then Jaya deletes the video. It throws him off, and Antony hits the glass ceiling with a rock. Wren gets the upper hand and kills the Gardener with the stick she brought with her. She sets Rick free, and Rick asks Wren to leave, taking the blame for what happened.
The police show up to take Rick into custody. I Heart BLTN can be seen in the dark by Jaya. It turns out that she is The Gardener and was the one who came up with the plan. Jaya asks her if everything is over, but she just shrugs. Wren and Dickheads pay their respects at Roche’s grave.
At the end of the finale, a scene from Tokyo is shown. A group of friends is sitting together in a bar. Riku gets a text message telling him to download the Rose app, but this time the color is white and gold. When he clicks “download,” the screen goes dark.
