In the first scene of Episode 1 of Hit the Spot (Fanta G Spot), a couple is watching a porn video when the man gets turned on. He starts having sex with his girlfriend, and as they do, the girl starts acting like the woman in the porn film. She says that when she makes love with her partner, she becomes an actress because she’s never climaxed and doesn’t know what it’s like to have an orgasm.
She says she always gets close, but her boyfriend leaves before she does, so she has to tell him she had a good time when she didn’t. The show then cuts to the headquarters of the media company Play Books, where two editors, Mi-na and Hee-Jae, are asked to meet their boss, Mr. Lee.
Conversation Between Mi-na and Hee-Jae
Mi-na accuses Hee-Jae of having a steamy night with her boyfriend of five years because she has bags under her eyes. Hee-Jae replies that Mi-na never gets tired of “it” because she loves sex so much.
When the two women get to their boss’s cabin, Mr. Lee asks them to be the new hosts of a fantasy podcast called “Fanta G Spot” because the original hosts quit at the last minute. At first, the girls don’t want to take part, but Mr. Lee promises them a month of paid vacation after the first season of the podcast is done.
Mi-na and Hee-Jae start to record the first episode as soon as they hear about the good offer. The two girls talk to their female listeners and tell them not to be shy about their sexual desires and to enjoy the podcast. Then, the hosts tell the story of the woman from the prologue who has never had an orgasm because her boyfriend always gets there first.
The two girls talk about the problem, and Hee-Jae thinks that every woman has probably faked an orgasm at some point in her life. When they leave the office after recording the first episode, the two coworkers talk about how they will spend their paid month-long vacation. As they eat their takeout, the guy makes it sound like he wants to be serious with Mi-na. Mi-na says she wasn’t ready to get married yet, and she thinks he’s crazy for even thinking about it.
He says he would date someone, which makes Mi-na think he wants to stop hooking up with her. The guy says that even after he found a girlfriend, he could still hook up with Mi-na. Mi-na is upset by the implication, so she leaves him alone in the hotel room and says that she wouldn’t do something like that to another woman if she had bad morals. Later that night, Hee-Jae goes to a restaurant she often goes to for a drink.
She asks the owner what happens to a couple who has been together for a long time. He says that the two people don’t try to find out new things about each other, which makes the relationship less interesting. Mi-na is trying to get off at her own house by looking at the titles of pornographic movies when Hee-Jae comes in and stops her.

Review of Fanta G Spot Episode 1
On the one hand, it’s amazing that K-dramas are now willing to talk about sexuality in women, but at the same time. I don’t know how people will like this show.
Having a K-pop star like EXID’s Hani as the main character could bring in a lot of viewers, but I hope the show has a good story to back up the star. Mi-na seems to be a straightforward woman who knows what she wants, but she could fall in love with a guy who is nothing like her.
Hee-Jae and In-chan will definitely get together as the show goes on based on how he looked at her at the end of the episode. I can’t wait for the scene where they show In-chan at the restaurant where Hee-Jae was talking to the owner about her relationship problems. That seems like the most likely way for him to recognize her.
