Alchemy of Souls Season 2 Episode 6 Insights and Review

In the first part of Season 2 Episode 6 of Alchemy of Souls, Jang-Uk talks about Mu-past Deok and the tree that has been a big part of it. Bu-Yeon says that Jang-Uk kissed and saw her that night, not Mu-Deok and that he is married to her. But Yul comes out of the shadows and draws their attention away.

Yul is, of course, looking for So-Yi, who Ho-Gyeong is still torturing and holding captive. The queen of Jinyowon says that there is a way to get rid of the blood parasite, but only if So-Yi says who she’s told about it. So-Yi lies, and when Yul comes to see her, Ho-Gyeong has already left. So-Yi quickly tells them about the blood parasite, which means there’s a good chance they can save him.

So-Yi knows Bu-secret, Yeon’s so she touches her on the way out. She tells Yul this right away, pointing out that Mu-Deok and, by extension, Naksu are living inside Bu-Yeon. So, when Bu-Yeon walks into the room, he has to end up seeing Mu-Deok instead of her.

Jang-Uk goes to see Ho-Gyeong, who shows him the firebird. However, things get heated when Jang-Uk asks Ho-Gyeong how he treats Bu-Yeon and what he plans to do with her in the future. Jang-Uk goes outside and runs into Yul. Yul tells him in a mysterious way that he needs to take care of himself. This is, of course, because of Bu-Yeon, even though Bu-Yeon says she is friends with Yul and their earlier hug proves it.

Jang-Uk will get jealous when he finds out they spent a lot of time together in the past, holding Bu-hand Yeon tightly when she says he’s handsome. Does this sound like jealousy? There is, of course!

Yul’s Conversation With So-Yi

Yul talks to So-Yi in private and promises to keep her secret about Naksu a secret. He also helps her find a safe place to hide. After that, though, he has a terrifying dream about Mu-Deok, blood, and the wooden trinket that Mu-Deok gave him in the past. This dream makes him clutch his chest.

Kim tells Jang-Uk that she is getting married, which surprises him. He’s sorry he can’t say more, but he has a lot going on right now. Still, he gives her a big hug and tells her “Congratulations” in her ear.

At the same time, Park Jin learns more about Jin-clever mu’s plan to dry up the wells. Several boatmen found more along the canal, and Park Jin says they have the power of a volcano, which means they are surrounded by strong magic. We know that Jin-mu has secret agents to do his work, but they get scared on the way and end up throwing all of their gear into the water.

Jin-mu goes to the King’s council and asks Cheonbugwan to call together the Unanimous Assembly. In the end, drying up these wells is making people unhappy. He wants to move up the date of the ceremony and mess with the King’s troops as well. He decides to make Jang-Uk a General, which means he has to leave Daeho Fortress and go north.

Jang-Uk can tell that strong pieces are moving around the chessboard, and he seems ready to try to checkmate them all. He is so angry that he wants to attack the Crown and Cheongbugwan. He is told not to by Park Jin. He shows Jang-Uk the old emblem from the past and then tells him the whole story of his birth, including how the King switched places with Jang’s gang. Jang-Uk wants to make trouble, so Park Jin promises to do everything he can to stop him, even if it means he has to die in the process.

Jang-Uk isn’t sure what to do and can’t decide, even though Master Lee Cheol tries to point him in the right direction.

Bu-Yeon keeps having flashbacks to the past. The most recent one happened when she tried to pull herself up at the bridge. This is a reference to the first episode of the last season when Mu-Deok did the same thing and couldn’t get up.

It doesn’t look like Bu-Yeon will get all of her memories back any time soon, and she thinks about what this all means. She even goes in to see the Crown Prince’s turtle but ends up arguing with the “Eunuch,” not realizing that he is, of course, the Prince.

When the Prince tells Jang-uk that he needs to leave, Jang-uk responds by bringing up the man’s friendship with Jin-mu. The Prince talks about the firebird and how dangerous everything is, but Jang-Uk doesn’t seem to care.

When they find out they were wrong about the turtle, things get even worse. When the Prince realizes he was wrong, he tells Jang-Uk that he has changed from before and storms off.

Back in Songrim, Yul’s health keeps getting worse. He has a terrible fever and is very pale. So-Yi tries hard not to cry and goes to get him some medicine to ease the pain he’s feeling. Yul remembers what he was told before she left, which is that the parasite is currently feeding on his energy. Since Yul is still alive, it’s clear that he can handle a lot of pain. But if the parasite goes crazy, the pain it gives Yul will also make him crazy and kill him in the end. Since birds eat bugs, it seems like they are the answer to Yul’s problem. Could it be, for example, the firebird?

Jin-mu’s Agent Threw All the Imparted Goods Into the Lake

When Jin-mu finds out that his agent threw all the “imparted goods” into the lake, he decides to bring So-Yi back to lead this operation instead. Of course, that makes it harder for her to leave, since she’s at the docks getting ready to take a boat out of town. So-Yi thinks about her time in the village and how Yul is the light of her life before she leaves. She likes him, but she goes back to her gambling place for the last time… and ends up surrounded by mages from Cheonbugwan. They quickly take care of her by knocking her down and asking her what she knows about the blood parasite.

Alchemy of Souls Season 2 Episode 6 Insights and Review

Bu-Yeon talks to Dang-gu about leaving, and they decide that she wants to leave and go to Danhyanggok. She has heard about the huge tree and wants to see it for herself. Yul hears them talking, and he decides to join her. When she tells Jang-Uk what she wants to do, he lets her go… But when she says that Yul will be there, he gets jealous again in a funny scene. He finally gets over himself and lets her go.

Yul’s plan here seems to be to do something that no one else wants to do. In a vision, we see him call up a sword and stab himself and Bu-Yeon with it. He does this because he knows that Naksu lives inside Bu-Yeon. One of So-friends Yi runs back to the palace to tell Yul what is going on with her. He runs to where she is right as Yeom-Su, a Cheonbugwan mage, hits her with an umbrella and knocks her out.

Yul shows up at the den and meets Cheonbugwan face-to-face. He starts to fight them off, but since he’s using Yul’s energy to do so, Yeom-Su knows right away that he has the blood parasite inside him. Before Yeom-Su can finish him off, So-Yi steps in and stabs him in the thigh. Yeom-Su is then thrown across the room.

Yul is able to keep them away, and So-distraction Yi’s buys him valuable time. So-Yi dies when Yul has her in his arms. Yul tries hard to stop Cheonbugwan, but it doesn’t work. Just before he gets hit with the final blow that will kill him, Jang-Uk shows up and saves him at the last minute. When Yul passes out, Jang-Uk takes out his sword and gets ready to fight them all. He says that none of them will leave the room alive if he does.

Review of Alchemy of Souls Season 2 Episode 6

Alchemy of Souls is back with another exciting episode that has a lot to talk about, especially that last part. We did think in the last chapter that either Yul or So-Yi would die, and it looks like So-Yi is now out of the story because she gave her life to give Yul more time.

Yul probably hasn’t died, though, and I think he’s going to beat the crap out of these Cheonbugwan mages. This could set up a big fight in the next few chapters, especially if the King finds out what happened.

Bu-Yeon still has amnesia, but little bits of memories are starting to come back to her now. At this rate, it looks like we won’t know for sure what will happen to her until the end of the season.

This chapter, though, has a bit more of a sense of urgency, and the funny side story about the Crown Prince and his turtle, as well as the upcoming wedding plans, give it some much-needed humor.
