A new season of You is almost here, and it might be an understatement to say that fans are more excited than ever.

Season 3 Launches on Netflix on October 15
In the new teaser, Joe and Love’s new baby is welcomed. It shows what looks like the hands of Love making a cake for their baby. While the hands crush eggshells and wipe blood-red icing off a knife, Joe talks about having a son, saying at one point that raising a boy like him wouldn’t be easy.
At the end of the trailer, we find out that the new season will start in October and that Joe and Love’s son will be named Henry. A gender reveal has never been quite so sinister.
The Third Season of You Was Renewed in January 2020
Netflix said on January 14, 2020, that You would be back for a third season with 10 new episodes. At the time, TVLine said the next episode would come out in 2021, but they didn’t say when. Since the pandemic caused delays, it’s not clear if the season will still come this year.
The renewal was announced a few weeks after Penn Badgley, who plays the main character Joe Goldberg, seemed to let the news slip in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
When asked how Love’s character changed, Badgley said, “If I may say so, I think in the third season…” Badgley tried to take back what he’d said when he realized what he’d done: “I literally don’t know anything about the third season.”
When the interviewer asked the Gossip Girl star if there would be more episodes of You on Netflix, Badgley flinched “I can’t because…
I mean, not on the job.”
You Season 3 Will Feature Some “New Cast”
In October 2020, it was announced that Badgley and Pedretti would be joined in the upcoming third season of You by two new characters. One of Netflix’s Twitter accounts said, “Fresh blood joining You Season 3: Shalita Grant will play Sherry, a “Mom-fluencer” who seems normal but is actually a mean girl who only acts like she wants Love to be her friend.”
Travis VanWinkle will also be in the new season. He will play wealthy Cary, who will invite Joe into his inner circle. No one knows if either of the new characters will make it through the season.
Deadline also says that Animal Kingdom star Scott Speedman will have a recurring role. The news source said, “Speedman will play Matthew, a successful CEO, husband, and father who doesn’t talk much.” “He’s shy, sometimes mysterious, and tends to keep to himself, but underneath all that is a deep well of emotion.”
The news source said in November 2020 that Saffron Burrows, who plays Love’s mother, has been made a series regular. Tati Gabrielle (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) and Dylan Arnold (Nashville) will also be regulars. Recurring roles will be played by Michaela McManus, Shannon Chan-Kent, Ben Mehl, Chris O’Shea, Christopher Sean, Bryan Safi, Mackenzie Astin, Ayelet Zurer, Jack Fisher, and Mauricio Lara.
Deadline said that Scott Michael Foster, who was on the show Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, would also be in the third season of You.
