The Milk Cup by Gonna Need Milk Crowns 2025 Champions at TwitchCon San Diego

Nina and Vader Win 2025 Title During Record-Breaking Women’s Fortnite LAN with $300,000 Awarded Across 2025 Tournament Series

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The Milk Cup returned with its second annual women’s Fortnite LAN on Saturday, Oct. 18, where 50 duos — 100 of the top women’s Fortnite players — battled live on stage at TwitchCon San Diego for the 2025 series title. Nina and Vader claimed the trophy, following an edge-of-your-seat finale that capped a monumental year for the women’s esports series.

The Milk Cup 2025 was one of North America’s most-viewed women’s esports series, with a total of 4.3M views across the tournament. The Milk Cup was also the first third-party tournament to be broadcasted on the official Fortnite channels — a huge step for women’s esports. Creator watch parties and co-streams — featuring talent such as AussieAntics, Khanada, LuluLuvely, HappyHappyGal, OliverOG, Viancyy and Zemie — brought the fun to fans at home who didn’t have the opportunity to catch the action in person. Gaming personalities, including Cinna, xChocoBars and QTCinderella, celebrated the finalists in San Diego and shared exciting updates with their followers along the way.

After The Milk Cup 2025 champions were crowned, ThePeachCobbler, a top Fortnite streamer, and Taco, one of the top Fortnite analysts and casters, presented The Milk Cup MVP award to Nina and The Milk Cup Sportsmanship award to MiniMikae1a.

The Milk Cup advances Gonna Need Milk’s mission to create equitable opportunities for women in gaming, providing open and closed qualifiers to advance to the Finals, a $300,000 prize pool – the largest prize pool for any women’s Fortnite series in the US – an all-expenses-paid trip to LAN for every finalist, and a commitment from Gonna Need Milk to continue listening to community feedback on how to lower barriers to entry. Notably, in its inaugural year, over 60% of players in The Milk Cup had never played in a tournament before. Now, 66% of 2025 finalists returned from 2024, reflecting strong community retention.

“The community is the engine of The Milk Cup, and we’re designing for it,” said Jen Grubb, Senior Marketing Manager at MilkPEP, the group behind Gonna Need Milk and The Milk Cup. “The Milk Cup proves that when you listen to your audience and invest in areas they’re passionate about, the community rallies and you can make real change together. Milk will continue to invest in gaming and opening doors as the performance drink of gamers.”

To keep gamers fueled, Gonna Need Milk debuted “Milk Energy – The OG Energy Drink,” a limited-edition, canned energy drink available only at TwitchCon San Diego for an exclusive group of partners and competitors, in the flavor Strawberry Crush. The twist? It was simply lactose-free strawberry dairy milk. Milk has nutrients that support focus and sustained energy (vitamins D and B-12, calcium, zinc, complete protein and more) without the jitters and caffeine crash found in traditional energy drinks.

Created by Gonna Need Milk and built in collaboration with women gamers, including Fortnite streamer ThePeachCobbler, The Milk Cup is produced by RaidiantGG’s all-women production team and supported by partners including Twitch, Blast, efuse and Moonrock. The official sponsors of The Milk Cup 2025 Championship included MSI, Aimlabs and Battle Beaver.
