Taylor Swift Praises ‘Three American Stars’ in New Olympics Video: ‘Never Be Afraid to Show Them Who You Are’

Taylor Swift is showing her support for Team USA at the 2024 Olympic Games! The 34-year-old singer narrated a promotional video for NBC Olympics on August 3, celebrating three of the team’s standout athletes: Simone Biles, Sha’Carri Richardson, and Katie Ledecky, all of whom have won medals at the games this year.

The inspiring video kicks off with a shot of a swimming pool as Swift’s 2015 hit song “Style” plays in the background. The footage then transitions to Biles, 27, preparing for the vault, Richardson, 24, walking on a field, and Ledecky, 27, in the pool.

“Never be afraid to show them who you are, especially when the whole world is watching,” Swift narrates over clips of the athletes competing and interacting with fans. “Because there is no one way to be the best. No one way to inspire everyone else who will someday follow.”

“You do what you love. You love what you do,” she continues. A lyric from her song, “We never go out of style,” then plays before Swift adds, “You believe in your style, whatever it is.”

The video also highlights Biles earning her third Paris gold in the vault final, with teammate Jade Carey taking the bronze medal.

“Katie, Sha’Carri, and Simone,” Swift says as the video shows more shots of the athletes winning medals, including Biles holding up her sparkling goat necklace. “Three American stars. Three different visions of greatness. Tonight, in Paris,” she concludes.

NBC Olympics shared the video on X (formerly Twitter), tagging Swift and writing: “Never be afraid to show them who you are … especially when the whole world is watching. Katie. Sha’Carri. Simone. They’ll never go out of style … #ParisOlympics.”
