Big Bet Episode 7 Review
We all knew what was in store for Philip and So-Jung, but the fact that the plot was really carried out, and that too in broad daylight, shows once more how little we actually know about some of the series’ more prominent characters. Because we’ve mostly seen John answer to “the big boss,” and even that reference isn’t fully utilized, it’s unclear whether Moo-sik gave the order to John to take them out or whether something bigger is at play here, leaving us with even more questions than answers.
John’s character is undoubtedly an intriguing addition to the show, and up until this point, the sequence of circumstances surrounding his part has kept him buried in the clouds, adding to his evasive covert mystery. It makes sense that the show debuted as a two-season affair, with the second season premiering soon after the first season’s conclusion. We still don’t know much about these folks, and next week’s final episode will mark the end of the first chapter.

This may have hindered our ability to enjoy them as characters at first, but it has since evolved into the show’s own intriguing charm. It keeps drawing you in, if for no other reason than to learn more about the individuals’ individual roles, which eventually brings us to Min Seok-impending jun’s murder.
