LuminoCity Festival and Long Island Children’s Museum Announce the Winners of the Fourth Annual Lumi’s Utopia Children’s Drawing Competition

Winners’ Drawings Will Come to Life During LuminoCity’s Festival in Eisenhower Park, East Meadow, New York this Holiday Season

EAST MEADOW, N.Y., Oct. 16, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — LuminoCity Festival (LuminoCity) and Long Island Children’s Museum (LICM) are pleased to announce the ten winners of “Lumi’s Utopia,” a captivating children’s drawing competition and series of interactive workshops designed to spark artistic expression.

From April 14th to May 19th, 2025, children attended LICM’s interactive workshops, inspired by the rich history and artistry behind traditional lantern making. Overall, 120 pieces of art with the theme “Fantasy Winter Fairyland” were submitted through the workshops and online competition. Judges selected ten drawings to be transformed into stunning 3D light sculptures and displayed at this year’s Festival in Eisenhower Park from Nov. 7, 2025, to Jan. 1, 2026.

“This marks the fourth year of our collaboration with the museum, and it has evolved into so much more than a mere art contest,” said Xiaoyi Chen, Founder and CEO of LuminoCity. “By transforming the artistic expressions of the community’s children into 3D light sculptures, we hope to enrich the artistic lives of these children. And by giving their innate creativity a vehicle for expression, we celebrate the vital roles art and imagination play in the lives of children and adults alike.”
