Hwa-Yoon wants to be bait for his plan to go through by telling him how her family saved his life. Like she said they would, Minister Jo’s minions went to get Hwa-Yoon. Shin-won took her place as Minister Jo’s men were cornered by a team of reinforcements.
Lady Seo keeps using the backup plans she made before the second round of gantaek (the King’s marriage selection) to make sure her daughter wins. Someone changed the tea the young women were given.
Hwa-Yoon was chosen as the winner after getting votes from the other contestants. But when Sorang smelled the tea while trying to figure out what was going on, the queen blamed her, even though she said she hadn’t done it.
When Lee Heon hears about what happened to Sorang, he runs to where she is and even goes into the jail to find her. He finds out what Sorang and Queen Dowager talked about. Queen Dowager had to use Sorang so that the people of the internal court would feel bad about what they had done.

A Race Against Time to Save Lee Heon’s Best Friend
Lee Heon gave Minister Jo the job of looking into his kidnapping hound. He then watched the interrogation, during which the main kidnapper was harshly criticized for his dirty actions. Lee Heon steps in to tell him that if he says he is part of the organization doing bossam activities, he and his family will be punished harshly if he is.
Minister Jo asked him again if he was a member of the group. His answer shocked Lee Heon and Shin-won because he said he was the leader of the group. Minister Jo won his case against Lee Heon when he admitted that heartless, unthinkable crimes had happened in the palace and that his dog was willing to take the blame for all the terrible things he had done.
Shin-won is excited to get to the bottom of his investigation because his best friend is being held, hostage. Court Lady Won comes back to the palace and tells everyone that she was able to find her husband and son. But she saw that they were happy with her sister, so she let them stay.
Court Lady Won promises Sorang that she won’t have to give up her place to her younger sister, and she plans to do something to help her. And she did help because the investigation into the court ladies’ claims that she paid them off ended and Sorang was also set free.
When she got to where they were camping, she went straight to Lee Heon’s arms. She makes a cute joke about how they can’t do anything in the tent because she’s still tired. He responds to the joke by saying that he was trying to warm her up. This made Sorang laugh, and she admitted that she might give in to her teasing.
Back at the villains’ hideout, Lady Seo listens to Minister Jo talk about how his plans are still on track because they set up Hyeon-Seon well.
Marriage Selection and Its Consequences
Grandpa Gwaneg-Yi also talks happily with the people of Aedaldang, who are all interested in who will win the marriage selection. He tells Hae-young, who is worried that Sorang won’t be in a good place once gantaek is done, that Sorang will live her life as it was meant to be.
Maseoldan is a group of Seolos that was started by Artist Jung and his managers. They are worried about the trouble that could happen at the gantaek that is going on right now. Quickly, they took advantage of how well-known Artist Jung was and published a novel to spread the word about gantaek and make sure it would be successful. They tell people who love to read and want to know how the story ends to meet in front of the palace during the third round of the marriage selection.
Hwa-Yoon hears that Sorang has vanished without a trace in the palace at the same time that Lee Heon realizes what has happened and orders a search for her.
Queen Dowager also meets Lord Ye and Lady Seo, but Lady Seo is told to wait, and only her husband is allowed in. Queen Dowager seems to be cooking up something as she talks with Lord Ye about his oldest daughter.
On the day the new queen was named, the people who were protesting were invited into the palace along with government officials and nobles to hear the news. Lee Heon gives the stage to Queen Dowager, who announces that Ye Hyeon-soon will be the next queen after Lee Heon has finished explaining why marriage isn’t allowed.
Sorang’s stepsister goes on stage, but so does the real Ye Hyeon-Seon.

We like how Queen Dowager quickly reclaimed her name at the right time and planned a good love story for her grandson.
We can assume that her talk with Lord Ye confirmed what she already thought about what had happened to Sorang. Her grace and intelligence helped her make a marriage choice that Lee Heon would love.
When we look at the last episode, we can only hope that the people who plotted against Lee Heon through the marriage ban get what they deserve. We can’t say for sure what their last plan is, though, since they’ve been so good at bragging about bad plans.
