STōK COLD BREW COFFEE RETURNS TO AMERICA’S BIGGEST STAGE WITH CHANNING TATUM AND WREXHAM AFC
With moves as bold as its brew, STōK is bringing a classic American football tradition – and a sprinkle of Hollywood “magic” – to Wrexham AFC
LOUISVILLE, Colo., Feb. 5, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — STōK Cold Brew Coffee, a leader in RTD Coffee, is going bigger and bolder than ever before during the Big Game this year. As the official stadium sponsor for Welsh football club Wrexham AFC – co-owned by Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds – STōK is giving the players the energy they need to step up their celebration dances. This year, they’re taking their moves from the STōK Cae Ras to American football’s biggest game of the year.
You can see “Hollywood Magic” HERE
In the new Big Game ad spot, Channing Tatum, actor and producer known for his show-stopping dance skills, is called on by co-owners Reynolds and McElhenney to become the choreographer for Wrexham AFC. In the ad, created by Reynolds’ Maximum Effort, Tatum challenges the team’s players to turn up the heat on their goal-scoring celebrations – all fueled by the bold taste of STōK Cold Brew Coffee – in a routine set to “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)” by C+C Music Factory. STōK knows a thing or two about boldness. It’s what is bottled in each of the smooth and delicious flavors of its cold brew. It’s also what happens every season at the STōK Cae Ras when Wrexham AFC take the pitch.
“When Rob and Ryan asked me to help their team master the art of the celebration dance, I knew I had to accept the challenge. It was fun showing the lads how it’s done just in time for the biggest American football celebration, and none of us would have been able to bring the moves and energy without some help from STōK Cold Brew Coffee,” said Channing Tatum.
In 2024, STōK brought Welsh football to American football’s biggest stage for the first time, showcasing how its cold brew fuels Wrex the Dragon, Wrexham AFC’s iconic mascot. This year, STōK is bringing even more energy, and plenty of cold brew, to the Big Game – this time with an American tradition taking center stage.
“If athletes have shown us anything this year, it’s the art of top-notch football celebration dances – and those kinds of moves require a bold brew!” said Brittney Polka, Vice President of Ready to Drink Beverages at Danone North America. “Seeing Channing boldly turn the STōK Cae Ras locker room into his personal stage demonstrates exactly what our partnership with Wrexham AFC is all about. I can think of no better way to describe the spot than the advice the team got directly from Channing himself: ‘Drink up, and try to keep up’ on game day.”
“We’re so happy that three of the stars of Deadpool & Wolverine were able to work together again to bring this ad to life for our incredible Wrexham sponsor, STōK Cold Brew Coffee,” said Wrexham AFC Co-chairmen Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds. “We will take no further questions related to Rob’s actual screen time.”
Fans can catch “Hollywood Magic” streaming on FOX Sports and the official app of the NFL on February 9, 2025.
