Even though they are worried about the risks of meeting new people, they still decide to go. They meet Jaya Mahajan along the way. She says she knows something about a mysterious person named Red Rose.
Wren agrees to talk to her, but she has to tell him how she learned about Red Rose. As they follow Jaya deeper into the viaducts, Wren’s phone rings and Rochelle tells her to catch up. As the group worries about possible danger and betrayal, the situation gets tenser and tenser.
Jaya Suspects Red Rose’s Connection to Jacob’s Death
Douglas Sensei, played by Tom Rosenthal, is there to greet them. Jaya is asked by Wren why she contacted them. Jaya thinks that when Rochelle was worried about her tests, she would have killed them. She shows them a Jacob Taylor drawing of a rose (Charlie Hiscock). She thinks that Red Rose had something to do with Jacob’s death.
Wren asks her why they are there. Noah tells her that Jaya just wants to help. She makes him remember how much Jaya didn’t like Rochelle. Before she told Wren to turn off her phone, Jaya says she didn’t like her. Wren does what she asks, but not willingly.
Rachel picks up a call from Wren’s number and hears static when she does. She sends her a message telling her to stop playing tricks on her. “Just having some fun,” says the message she gets.

Mrs. Taylor welcomes the group and asks how they know Jacob, who they all knew from St. Augustine. Jaya asks Mrs. Taylor if she still has any of Jacob’s things, which makes Mrs. Taylor cry. Noah tries to make her feel better while Jaya takes Wren to Jacob’s room, where they find proof that he made the Red Rose app.
Mr. Taylor comes along and is suspicious of them, but Jaya talks him into giving her Jacob’s book. The group is trying to find out why Jacob killed himself and why the Red Rose app is still working. They find a strange message on Wren’s phone that makes them think Jacob may still be alive and in the garden with Rochelle.
