Obi Wan Kenobi Episode 6 Insights and Review: Also See Insight About Episode 4!

Obi-Wan Kenobi’s series finale is now available on Disney+. It is the last episode of the six-part miniseries about a former Jedi master who saves a young princess. At the start of “Part VI,” the Third Sister is on Tatooine looking for Owen Lars. She wants to kill Luke Skywalker, who is Darth Vader’s son. This first scene sets up a great ending to a series that wasn’t as mind-blowing as some people might have hoped. “Part VI,” for what it’s worth, is satisfying and exciting, even though it has the same rough edges as the rest of the show.

As Vader’s Star Destroyer chases after Roken’s freight transport, the scene looks a lot like the first shot in A New Hope. Owen and Beru find out that their nephew is in danger when Kenobi gives Leia Tala’s holster in a beautifully written scene. After their adventure together, it’s sad to see them go their separate ways, but it’s interesting to see Kenobi know he has to fight his old friend. While Owen and Beru try to keep Luke safe from the Third Sister, who is chasing him with no mercy, Most of the episode does a great job of blending these two stories together.

Obi Wan Kenobi Episode 6 Insights and Review

Vader lands on a rocky moon and gets ready to fight his old boss. When Vader asks Kenobi if he has come to kill him, Kenobi says, “I will do what I must,” the same thing he said on Mustafar. This is the epic rematch that Star Wars fans have been waiting for, and the results are great. I would have liked the production design to be as epic as the lava planet of Mustafar, but it’s a well-choreographed battle that’s slower than their battle in Revenge of the Sith and faster than their battle in A New Hope, which bridges the gap between the two quite well.

There are some great parts of the duel, like when Vader crushes Kenobi with rocks while claiming to be on top. Kenobi moves the stones in a way that’s similar to how Rey did it in “The Last Jedi.” During the battle, Kenobi even does his famous “Soresu” pose. Everything leads to where a lot of people wanted the show to go, with Kenobi breaking part of Vader’s helmet in a scene that looks like it was taken from Star Wars Rebels.

Seeing Hayden Christensen’s face behind the Vader mask is the perfect way to use the actor, and the scene is brilliantly done. Kenobi is heartbroken to see what his old friend has become. The sadness in McGregor’s eyes makes this scene sad. By putting Christensen’s voice together with Vader’s, director Deborah Chow has done an amazing job.

I love how their fight ends. Everyone who knows what’s going on in the show knows that neither of them will die in this battle, but the way they talk to each other is beautiful. Vader says that he killed Anakin Skywalker, which gives more meaning to Kenobi’s lie in A New Hope that Vader betrayed and killed Luke’s father. In the end, Kenobi realizes that his friend is really gone, which is sad for the former Jedi master who has given up on everything. When Kenobi says goodbye to “Darth,” he says, “Only a master of evil, Darth.” This adds more meaning to a moment in A New Hope when Kenobi says, “Only a master of evil, Darth.”

Obi Wan Kenobi Episode 6 Insights and Review

The plot of the Third Sister fighting Owen and Beru while trying to kill Luke mostly works. It is the least interesting part of the episode because the Third Sister is never as interesting as the writers hoped she would be. The sequence is interesting for the most part, and it ends with Luke unconscious and the Third Sister ready to kill him. She can’t do it because she sees herself in Luke and realizes she has become what she swore to destroy. We cut away from the scene, and then, later in the episode, the Third Sister brings Luke’s body back to Owen and Beru while he is still unconscious. Luke wakes up after a short time.

The ideas are good, but they are not very well done. The scene doesn’t work as well as it could because Luke is unconscious. The Third Sister never sees the fear in Luke’s eyes that Vader saw in hers. Another bad choice is to cut away from the moment when she decides not to kill him. When Reva is holding Luke’s body, the question of whether or not he is still alive doesn’t work at all because Luke is the main character in the first three Star Wars movies. It would have been much more emotional to see the Third Sister stop herself from killing Luke.

In the last scene of “Part VI,” Ian McDiarmid comes back as Emperor Palpatine and talks to Vader. Kenobi has a couple of beautiful scenes. He tells Leia about her parents and gives Luke Skywalker the toy he plays with in A New Hope when he meets him for the first time. The episode finally brings together Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan for the first time since The Phantom Menace.

Liam Neeson reprises his role as Qui-Gon Jinn as a Force ghost. Obi-Wan Kenobi has a great ending that gives fans both what they want and what they don’t want to see. We are so lucky to have a series that we didn’t know we needed but that we love so much. It’s not a perfect ending, but it ends the story in a way that makes sense and leaves a small chance that there could be more.
